At some point, the organism only leaves a sufficient part of the victim alive and conscious. It's similar to the hunting pattern of an angler fish. In order to compensate for the excess of body mass, it needs to trick its prey, to lead it right into its mouth. The 10% left of the victim are there to call for help, produce sounds that would attract any benevolent souls. Blinded by the prospect of being a hero, of saving a life. It's counting on that. Real horrors use your own good against you.

Little drawing of the Patient of Denburth Asylum, a close-up on the eyes, it was a little experiment I had in mind for a while. I wanted to do a little serie in which the focus would be on the eyes of the characters/monsters/creatures that I have worked ever since I have started on this platform. I have two drawings of the same kind: one of the Hive Mind and of the Mouth of God. For the format, I have used sticky notes for it's fun to draw on slightly smaller papers, it forces the focus and allows me to work on my detailing skills. I hope you will enjoy this one 😊
