Dear Ancestor

'"Body and Soul, no matter how perverted by time and the experiments of men to flee the cold grasp of Death, shall Endure."
Such were the last words of my great grand father upon his death bed. Later carved in the open casket in which he is still resting after 20 years. He was not a religious man, he did not believed in the nonsense of ressurection. He did believed that he was too important to die and went to the extent to do specific research about how to extend his life beyond death. But it also happens that he was a despicable man with no morals. He would have trade generations of his family to stay. Yet, I think he has achieved that in a twisted way. From his old cabinet, I can feel his heavy and empty eyes, piercing through the veil of the rags pretending to be his new skin.'

The new portrait is here. For this one I wanted to do something creepy with the feeling of a Victorian portrait and the otherworldly quality they have. It was also the opportunity to work again on my texturing skills. I think it turned out good despite a few mistakes here and there haha
