The Puppet of an Unknown Organism (repost)

"I..I don't feel so good. There's something wrong with me, like another skin under my skin. It scratches, it burns, its moving..I can feel the spikes bursting through my skin and organs.. God help me.."
This is my first drawing and version of the Patient of the Denburth Asylum which was at first supposed to be a creature/alien organism that had taken ahold of an unfortunate farmer exploring an abandonned mine from where strange sounds were coming. Similar to the final version, the organism digest the flesh of its victims while they are still conscious, like a parasite only more violent. Yet it felt like an experiment gone wrong in an insane asylum was much more fun. It's fun to see how much the character evolved, I'm kind of curious how much I can transform it in the future. Again I had not much to do on this one except for redrawing the inside of the mine, the parasitic fungus on the sides and also the splinters on its body that were not as visible in the first version.
