The Choir of War (Repost)

An exceptional and frightening spectacle. A tradition of the human race. A celebration of our primal instincts, a dance with death itself. What did it brought to the world? Tears, despair, unecessary loss, grief.. in this mess of a massacre we were all like brothers once in the cold arms of death. Singing a muffled song of fraternity and bitterness. Our faces are hidden under the true mask of war, inhuman and emotionless. We have forever became the phantom pain that lies in the backbone of history.
The new repost of The Choir of War is here. I can't exactly remember why or what made me do that drawing in the first place but it was clearly inspired by the Great War and the impressive artworks of german painter Otto Dix. I have always been intrigued and fascinated by the horrors of war and the paradoxical nature of it in regards to the peaceful and profoundly human society we try to build. I have reworked the details of the masks and of the entity at the center and the shadows. I had thought about remaking this one but it would mean to completely redesign the entity and find a new perspective. With that said, have a great day and I hope you will enjoy it.
