Splitting Headache

"Look at poor Steven.. He tried to kill himself after the organism infected him. He was one of our most talented scientists and it took one moment of recklessness and the inevitable happened. A single splinter. That's all it took. He panicked and choose not to end up like our test subjects. The parasite had already spread, sufficiently enough to prevent his death. I can't help being terrified when I see this light in the eye that hasn't been assimilated yet..As if there was a shred of humanity left in it, feeling itself being consumed alive by this organism.."

The new drawing is here. I wanted to do a portrait of another victim from the splintery organism but also focus on the macabre and grotesque elements such as the destruction of the face. I was trying to draw something a bit different with the gore elements, the detailing of the organism replacing the tissues, the splinters and the skin twisting. It's a bit more graphic than any other drawings that I have posted here but I hope you guys will enjoy it despite that. I have worked a lot on the details and contrasts as it is a direction that I would like to take with these new drawing.
