"I remember that unfriendly night. I remember the rain crashing against the walls, the roof and the windows of the house. The stormy winds were whiping the house and the old overgrown cornfield next to the garden. I could never sleep whenever the storm would rage outside. This night was different. There was a sound that felt misplaced in the storm, under my window. There was a limit to my childish curiosity but it stopped at old and dark attics, a noise I thought I could handle that. As I looked, I saw the old strawman: Mister Stitch, for my dad have had to stitch it all back up. He was flayed by the wind and rain, violently pushed from a side to another, the wooden cross that my father had build stood strong but was spiraling on itself. It was almost comical until it was not.. The strawman turned and turned until it finally locked itself in the mud. Facing in my direction. Suddenly the wind did not seem to mind it, it would not be moved. Something was wrong, unnatural..A sense of dread grew. In the blinding light of a lightning strike, the face made of rags lift itself and looked at me.."

As for the previous drawing, this one was also a little experiment with one of my favourite character to draw: The Puppeteer. It is one of the most personal character and for the worst reasons. I have been used to draw him in positions that takes advantage of his physical presence in the drawing, to be this overwhelming entity that is always looming over the other characters. This time I wanted to draw him as a scarecrow, strip him from what he represents to me and throw him into a new kind of story, the origins of a malevolent entity posing as a worn-off strawman to invade household and feed off the misery of a family before feeding upon the children of said family. I tried to recapture the feelings of dread and fear that I would have felt as a child when seeing something that should not be there in the security of my home. I hope I manage to recreate it for you as well. Enjoy guys and thank you so much for the amazing support .
