Truth

"Humans.. Always seeking what they cannot fathom. Someone wrote once about a Truth beyond the veil that separates Life from Eternity and Death from Immortality. They believed and still believe those words to be the finite truth. Fear motivates that belief, fear of one day vanishing into an endless void. I have always wondered why they never realized that the abyss was already there, in between the very lines that promised a next chapter after their inevitable death. It was always there, the only truth to gaze upon is the emptiness of it all. And here I am, standing tall at the edge of the precipice, like a benevolent sheperd leading its flock to a mercyful end. And yet..All I see in that very moment is the fear, the terror.."
