The Silent Guardian (Repost)

It's nothing. Just a silent man made of rags and hay, the perfectly harmless guardian, watching over the fields long left to rot. Almost like a vulture, ambushed, ready to fall upon its prey. They were never scary but intimidating, ominous, like something that shouldn't be. That creepy thing you might dread to encounter while walking aimlessly in a field.

I love scarecrows, ever since Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane) from the DC Universe to the classics like Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Scarecrows, Night of the Scarecrow and more recently Husk. One of my goals when I started posting my drawings on IG was to create many different designs for scarecrows with different "personalities", some of them being monsters, other killers and supernatural creatures. This one was a first artwork based on what would become the Beacons of Tragedy. I hope you will enjoy this one, I have added extra details on the scarecrow and the field, beside that more shadows. 💙
